ABOUT YOUR VISIT
Preparation for your appointment

During your first prenatal visit please ensure you have your OHIP card so that you may be entered into our electronic medical records. You will have to present your OHIP card during every visit. Our clinic does not accept patients who do not possess an OHIP card.

During your first prenatal visit you will be filling out a medical questionnaire. During every visit your blood pressure and weight will be taken and recorded in the antenatal record. Growth of the baby will assessed and the fetal heart rate will be listened to. During the later stages the position of the baby will be assessed. The antenatal record and pertinent investigations are faxed to the hospital Birthing Unit at 20 weeks and then again at 36 weeks so that the doctor on call will have the records available when you arrive with a concern or in labour.
