Vaccination in Prenancy
It is recommended during pregnancy during flu season that you receive vaccination for Influenza as women who contract Influenza during pregnancy have a much higher risk of adverse events compared to non pregnant women of the same age group.
It is also recommended to receive a booster vaccine for whooping cough (Pertussis) in the third trimester and before 36 weeks. This should be obtained through your family physician or at the Monarch Centre. For further information: Click Here.
Dr. Vassiliou will discuss with you the Covid 19 vaccine during your office consultation.
